“Whatever success the Department had could only have been achieved through the work and leadership of you and your assistants…”
December 19, 1978
This will be my last official letter to you before I leave office and I did want you to know that I am deeply grateful to you for your outstanding service as the Head of the Anti-Monopolies Bureau.
Whatever success the Department had could only have been achieved through the work and leadership of you and your assistants. It has been a pleasure to have you as an associate and I will always remember your dedication and loyalty to me.
After the first of the year, as you know, I will be associated with _______________. The telephone number is ________. I would be delighted to her from you at any time.
With many thank and best wishes of the season, I am
