Wedding Turns into a Story about an Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Employee’s Dedication to Work
Carly Clinton, who will be joining the firm as an associate in the mortgage finance department, began working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. as a summer associate and legal extern. While a law student, Ms. Clinton was not only working hard at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. in order to obtain the job offer she was hoping for but was also planning for an important life event – her wedding.
Here, during the best man’s speech at Ms. Clinton’s wedding, Carly’s story of dedication to Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. comes along. The best man shares with the guests how Carly was going to decline all of the offers she had received and do whatever necessary to start her journey as a married woman and successful lawyer at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.
“So, it really dawned on me when Carly was in law school, and she was interviewing for jobs with various different law firms throughout Manhattan. Carly went on five different job interviews and got job offers for every single one of them. However, the one law firm she really wanted to work for reached out to her to set up an interview right as she was getting all these different job offers, and these other law firms, they needed an answer. I think that many would say, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Take the guaranteed job offer because if this one single law firm doesn’t extend an offer to you, you’re left with nothing. Well, Carly turned down all five of those job offers, she went into her interview prepared, read the book by the founder of the firm, showed her interest, grit, determination, and drive, and got the job she really wanted and I think this is a remarkable example of how Carly is a fighter and a winner as well.”
