Nancy Fernandez, Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.’s first employee, talks about the last 24 years working for the company.
My name is Nancy Fernandez, and I am the Director of Building Operations. I was referred to the firm by my cousin, Giovanna, who was working as an accountant here at the time. She is still with the firm today.
I began my journey at the firm as Adam’s assistant. Over time, I transitioned into various roles, including Land Lieutenant, Office Manager, and eventually into my current position as Director of Building Operations. In this role, I primarily focus on processing payments, generating client invoices and reports, paying the firm’s invoices, and ensuring that invoices and reports are sent to our clients.
When I first joined the firm, it was quite small, with only four employees, including Adam. It felt like a close-knit group, and we were located in a shared office space with other companies. Over the years, the firm has grown significantly in both size and the volume of cases we handle. Today, we have expanded to a team of 30 employees.
I believe the firm’s greatness stems from the dedication and hard work of our attorneys and staff. I have been with the firm for 24 years, and many of my colleagues have been here for similar lengths of time. Everyone is deeply committed to excellence, and that effort is reflected in our continued success.
The firm has always been exceptional, but it has only gotten better over the years. We started with a strong foundation as a small, close-knit team, and the improvements and growth we’ve experienced have enhanced that foundation. We see the firm as a family, which makes it such a special place to work.
The culture here is built on dedication, teamwork, and camaraderie. Our employees work hard to ensure that we deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients. At the same time, there’s a genuine sense of friendship among the staff. We enjoy working together, which creates a supportive and uplifting workplace.
