“I owe my success to Adam Leitman Bailey and will forever be grateful for the potential everyone saw in me.” – Rachel, Raymond ‘Hap’ Harrison Scholarship Recipient
Rachel: Hi everyone, my name is Rachel Ferguson, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Adam Leitman Bailey (ALB) family for their continued support. I owe much of my success to Adam Leitman Bailey, and I will forever be thankful for the belief they showed in me through the Raymond Harrison Scholarship.
I’m fortunate to be graduating from a CUNY school debt-free, with dorming fully funded, which has made college incredibly affordable for my family. This scholarship allowed me to have a traditional college experience in the city—one that many students can only dream of.
This year, I’m working two on-campus jobs: as a resident assistant in my college dormitory and as a peer mentor to minority freshmen. Without the Raymond Harrison Scholarship, I wouldn’t have been able to afford dorming, stay on track academically, or have the chance to enhance my resume with these amazing opportunities.
The Raymond Harrison Scholarship has truly pushed me to excel in my education. I am now in my second semester of junior year, completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on clinical neuropsychology, as well as an honors minor in business and liberal arts, with a specialization in computer science. None of this would have been possible without the professional exposure I gained at ALB.
Watching the passion of everyone at ALB—especially their dedication to the law and direct client support—inspired me every day to work as hard as the successful associates and lawyers there. As I research graduate and law schools, I know that with the Raymond Harrison Scholarship, I can continue my education without the burden of financial stress. The connections and support I’ve received from the ALB family will stay with me for life.
I can never thank Adam Leitman Bailey and the Raymond Harrison Scholarship enough. I look forward to crossing paths with ALB again in the future. In the meantime, I will continue to make ALB proud. Thank you very much.
