Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Litigation Extern Describes Her Experience with the Firm
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Gabrielle Hain, I’m a second year law student at New York Law School. I’ve been with Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. since January as a legal extern in the litigation department.
What did you enjoy most about working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.?
The thing I enjoyed most about Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. is seeing all of the complex legal issues that come out of real estate and being able to learn through research as opposed to just reading a textbook.
What makes Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. a valuable place to work at?
The thing that makes Adam Leitman Bailey a valuable place to work is getting to work with so many different attorneys and on a variety of different assignments. So you really get to see the start of a case all the way through the end and do some projects in relation to all of those different aspects.
How were things at the firm on a day-to-day basis?
So the day to day life at the firm as an extern was really fantastic because right from day one they try to incorporate you and make you feel like youre a part of the firm. Its also really great because a majority of the attorneys have started as externs so they really understand the point youre at in regards to the learning process and everyone really tries to give you as valuable of assignments as they can and really great feedback. The culture of the firm has also been fantastic, everyone was super freindly, they really try to include you right off the bat and that was something that was really beneficial.
What is your proudest accomplishment since joining the firm?
I think one of my proudest accomplishments while being at the firm was seeing the research I was doing and the getting to see the final product, so I’m really getting to see the case law and finding the application and then seeing how that turns into a motion through the attorneys.
What made working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. unique for you?
What made Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. unique for me is the fact that I really got to feel like an attorney while I was there and I was given such a variety of assignments where I really got to dive deep into the real estate law world and learn a lot of things I didnt even know existed.
In your eyes what sets Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. apart from other firms?
What really sets the firm apart in my eyes is the fact that so many of the attorneys started in the exact same place that I am and theyve grown up with the firm and this is where they learned and were trained so everyone is extremely dedicated to the practice and they understand what externs are going through which makes it a much more meaningful experience.
What advice would you give to someone joing the firm as an extern?
Some advice I would give an incoming extern is to be open to the new opportunities and to really put yourself out there reach out to as many attorneys as possible and really strive to get that feedback because thats the best way youre going to learn.
