“I had a really positive experience here” – Katya, Marketing Intern
My name is Katya Talinski. I go to Georgetown University, and I am a marketing and operations intern here. I’m currently majoring in government and American studies with a minor in history, and I plan to go to law school after college.
My responsibilities include updating the firm directories, editing and proofreading case studies and articles before they’re published on the website, and adding new contacts to the mailing list. I also help with social media content and upload materials to YouTube. Beyond that, I handle a variety of miscellaneous tasks that change from day to day.
The people here have been incredibly welcoming. There’s a strong sense of community—you can tell that everyone genuinely cares for one another and is eager to help. From the very first day, I was welcomed with open arms, and everyone has been nothing but kind and supportive.
One of the highlights of my experience was a summer party on a boat. It was such a fun and special event with gorgeous views. It was a unique experience, and I feel lucky to have been part of it—something I’m sure not every summer intern gets to enjoy.
Adam is great. He makes an effort to check in with everyone daily, asking how we’re doing, if we have enough work, and if everything is okay. He’s intentional about getting to know everyone and even takes new team members out to lunch, which I found really thoughtful.
During my internship, I’ve gained valuable exposure to marketing and operations—learning what goes into promoting a business, particularly a law firm, through social media and other platforms. I’ve also had the chance to observe how an office functions day to day, which has been insightful.
My advice to future interns is: don’t be afraid to ask questions. Everyone here is incredibly helpful. If you’re unsure about something or need guidance, just ask—people are always willing to assist. The attorneys are approachable and happy to share their insights about law, and I’ve even gotten advice from paralegals about law school, which has been incredibly valuable.
I’ve had such a positive experience here. The office itself is gorgeous, the people are wonderful, and you get to learn so much. Honestly, there are only upsides to this internship, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone.
