“His expertise and guidance were invaluable, and made me feel that I was, indeed, in highly professional hands and that he would fight tirelessly for my interests.” – Jeff Stern
My name is Jeff Stern. I am a high school math teacher working for the New York City
Department of Education for more than 20 years and for about 15 years I have
worked as an adjunct Professor with SUNY Empire State College. Recently, about a year ago, Vladimir Mironenko was my lawyer in a landlord tenant case. I could never imagined I would
experience it ever. I was looking for professional lawyer who would be able to
deal effectively with people who behaved as “professional tenants” in my apartment on the one hand and with the co-op management of this apartment on the other hand.
One morning, lucky to me, I called Vlad asking for help. He responded immediately, promptly, and confidently making me feel that I found the right person, at the right time. From then in that moment, when I first talked with Vlad, up to the very end of my case he has handled it amazingly well with all details being discussed and addressed accordingly. Vlad’s strong encouragement, mindful explanations, and impressive easy communication made me feel feel both comfortable and confident towards the successful end of my nightmare with a family of thankless occupants residing in my apartment. Vlad’s actions were carefully thought and implemented, strategically navigating me in this, I would say, complex landlord tenant dispute. His expertise and guidance were invaluable and made me feel that I was indeed in highly professional hands and that he would fight tirelessly for my interests.
It happened that I dealt as a landlord who, during Covid time, agreed to provide temporarily my apartment to a family who went through hardship at that time and later refused to vacate it. They stopped payment, continued enjoying the luxury conditions of my apartment, and pushed me in a confrontation with the co-op management. Trying not to feel as a victim of my own kindness, yet I could not get rid of the old sentiment no good deed goes unpunished. Initially I made a few attempts to reconcile the issue with these tenants, offering different types of incentives to them. However, with time passing by they were getting more offensive and resistant attacking myself and the co-op office as well. at that time I didn’t know Adam Leitman Bailey’s firm. Experiencing a lack of time to act first, I tied myself in knots with a lawyer whom I unfortunately hired to negotiate with the occupants and the management without gaining any traction. I must admit I was not satisfied with his work at all. I had to resolve the issue, make a settlement, or go to a trial. However, it was clear for me that it was a dead end with my former lawyer. I did research and luckily I found ALB firm and I didn’t hesitate a bit to address to Vlad, in addition to his highly professional characteristics I’ve read about, there was a culture relevant point in my decision to hire namely him. I am from Ukraine. My mother’s tongue is Russian, as well as my ungrateful tenants’ I was unfortunately dealing with. Although we were communicating a lot, mostly in English, his in depth understanding of the situation, the cultural and linguistic nuances were extremely supportive for me. It was one of many pros of having Vlad on the case. In fact, I don’t see any cons at all.
Vlad clearly explained to me my options, risks, advantages, and disadvantages of the possible ways for action. He was honest, straightforward, very attentive, and specific in all communications, providing his professional advice, enough time, and information to make my own decisions and to feel my ownership over the situation. By all means, Vlad’s tenacious and aggressive approach, his ability to think outside the box, and his strong knowledge of laws, psychology, and realty led to the expected settlement and finally the successful end of the case. Throughout the process, our communication was clear and concise, keeping me informed of all important developments. During the stressful moments Vlad’s patience and empathy were particularly appreciated. I felt that my lawyer truly cared about resolving my situation in the best possible way and defended my case with full determination, lot’s expertise, and commitment to client satisfaction unparalleled.
There is one more point I would like to emphasize especially. Vlad was always extremely responsive and accurate in the flow of our communication. Day or evening time, weekend or holiday, Vlad responds always in the fastest possible way. He was available to answer my questions and concerns in a way I could only dream of. Vlad was the best, not only comparatively. I think he demonstrated the absolute dominion. He is extraordinary in many ways. His work was truly priceless for me.
I have been contacting some people at ALB firm. A few times I was visiting the firm. I’ve got and I will keep an impression of a great professionalism unbelievable, friendly, wonderful people. I did and I do experience a sense of security there. I think it is the most amazing legal firm. The firm’s environment made me feel more empowered, restoring sense of respect and dignity. Whoever addressed me or I’ll contact anyone regarding any real estate, landlord, tenant, or other housing issue I will confidently point out ALB firm. In reflecting on my experience I would not hesitate in my best wishes to strongly refer anyone to get in touch with the firm. I do truly regret that I didn’t do it initially in this case, wasting time and money with someone else. I can highly recommend the firm and its services to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate landord/tenant lawyer. I think there is very few of the caliber like it. Whether as a landlord or as a tenant, I would address ALB legal firm should I need support, advice or any legal representation in a housing case or any related one expecting to avoid legal pitfalls in the future. Still, if I face a housing related issue, I would by all means contact ALB.
