My name is Brandon Zlotnik, and I’m a partner in the Supreme Court litigation group at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I’ve been here for about one year and eight months.
I was initially contacted by a recruiter, who I believe found my profile on LinkedIn. The recruiter, from Jabot, mentioned that a real estate litigation firm in Manhattan was hiring. I came in for an interview, meeting with Adam, Danny Ram Ratton, and John Desiderio (remotely) during the first round. In the second round, I interviewed in person with Jeff Metz. On my way back to my old workplace in the city, I received a call from Adam letting me know I had been offered a position here.
The culture at the firm is pretty relaxed and not very stratified. People here treat and view each other as equals, and there’s a strong open-door policy. Everyone is willing to help each other out with various things, and it’s a two-way street. For instance, sometimes I need assistance with something on the computer, so I’ll ask one of the paralegals for help since my computer knowledge is somewhat outdated.
It’s also a friendly culture. We have regular get-togethers, including birthday celebrations for employees and happy hours. In fact, we had a happy hour earlier this week at a local bar.
Adam has a unique talent for bringing together people with very different personalities and creating a cohesive team. He values diversity in personality and doesn’t try to hire people who are just like him. For example, my personality is quite different from his, yet he’s able to work with me effectively. He adjusts his personal style as needed to collaborate with different individuals and helps us all work together harmoniously. That’s a rare quality in a boss, and he deserves to be commended for it.
The result of this approach is a great mix of individuals working in the office, and together we form a very effective team.
I would absolutely recommend this firm. The work here is both interesting and challenging. The support staff is fantastic—they’re always willing to help, even during vacations or outside normal business hours. The other attorneys here are also amazing. They’re highly skilled in their fields and always willing to lend a hand if you ask for it.
