“Made Me Love Law Even More!”

Q: To begin, can you please state your name?

A: Vladimir Mironenko.

Q: Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?

A: Sure. I am 24 years old, I was born in Ukraine, I live in Brooklyn now and I am a second year student at NY Law School.

Q: What was your role here at ALB PC?

A: It was an externship position that I got through my school and I guess my role was to help with anything I could to just act like a sponge and absorb as much information and learn and get as much experience as I could.

Q: What was it like working at ALB PC?

A: It was great, the people here are amazing, everyone is really friendly, really knowledgeable. And I would come to work every day with a smile on my face and I would go home with a smile on my face also.

Q: What was the time frame you worked here?

A: I worked here from August to November 2009.

Q: How did you hear about ALB PC?

A: I heard about the firm through my school’s externship’s office. They were very, very fond of the firm and they sent my resume here and I was able to get an interview and a position here.

Q: Did you get to work with Adam Leitman Bailey directly?

A: Yes, yes, absolutely. I worked on researching and writing an article in the New York Law Journal which was very, very good learning experience.

Q: What types of tasks did you perform while working here?

A: Whole bunch of stuff. Fact investigation, research assignments, I wrote a memorandum, I wrote a motion for summary judgment and other interesting stuff.

Q: What was the one thing that would stand in your mind that you gained from working here?

A: The one thing I would say is I was able to participate in a four day jury trial, a landlord-tenant jury trial. And it was unbelievable experience. I was able to be there from jury selection all the way through the verdict. And watch the attorney work, opening arguments, the questioning, and the witnesses and the whole process, and the closing arguments. It was absolutely amazing. Made me love law even more.

Q: What was the best aspect of working here?

A: I think the people and how every person here is an expert in the field and at the same time they take the time to help you and explain stuff to you and really made sure that you know what you are doing and help you produce the best, best work that you could possibly can.

Q: Are there any other comments or suggestions before we are done?

A: Thank you to everyone, it was a great experience. I am very, very grateful for it, for the experience and the memories and I hope to see everyone soon.

Q: And do we have your permission to put this on our website?

A: Yes.
