My name is James DeLeo. I mainly work on transactional assignments, but sometimes I get litigation tasks as well. I actually found out about Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. while searching online for the best real estate law firms to intern with. I was looking for a summer position at the time and I just sent a cold email to Ashley and the firm, and that’s how I got connected.
The day-to-day changes pretty much every single day. I haven’t done the same thing day after day. It’s a lot of research for sure, but there’s always something new to work on.
Everyone I’ve talked to here is really nice, and everyone seems energetic and happy to be here, which is great. It’s just a really nice environment. People are super helpful and supportive, and it’s a great place to learn. Everyone is really motivated and busy. It definitely feels like a family-like atmosphere here. Everyone gets along really well, and it makes for a very pleasant working environment.
I’ve worked directly with Adam once, and I’ve had a couple of encounters with him outside of work. He’s really nice, and when we were working on an assignment together, he steered me in the right direction and was really helpful in refining my work.
I would absolutely recommend this internship, especially if you want to learn and do work that actually touches the client. I learned more here in one week than I did during an entire semester at school.
