“He wants everybody who works here to be their best and he pushes everybody to be their best.” – Elisabeth, Marketing Intern

My name is Elizabeth Murray, and I’m a marketing intern at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. In this role, I help edit case studies before they are published on the firm’s website, update directories, and create social media content. I’m currently a student at Fordham University, studying International Political Economy with minors in Economics and History. While I’m finishing up my studies, I’m actively applying to jobs, with the goal of staying in the legal field—whether that’s working as a paralegal or pursuing marketing roles within law firms.

My responsibilities really vary depending on the day and the needs of the firm. Some days, I focus on updating the website and proofreading case studies. During busier periods—like when the newsletter is being finalized—I work on more intensive editing tasks. A big part of my work involves maintaining the firm’s online presence. That includes making sure the website is polished, SEO is optimized, and social media engagement stays strong. The variety keeps the role dynamic, so no two days are exactly the same.

One of the standout aspects of this internship is working with Adam Leitman Bailey himself. Adam is unlike anyone I’ve worked with before. He pushes everyone to perform at their best, but in a way that’s both encouraging and empowering. His door is always open, and he’s incredibly approachable. If you have a question or concern, he’s more than happy to help. His extensive knowledge about all aspects of the firm is inspiring, and having such a personable founding partner is something I truly appreciate.

The work environment at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. is another reason I’ve enjoyed this experience so much. The boutique nature of the firm fosters a close-knit atmosphere where communication between staff and attorneys is constant and open. Everyone is incredibly friendly and personable—whether it’s saying good morning to each other or collaborating on projects. It’s clear that the people here love their work, and that makes it a pleasure to be part of such a positive environment.

I highly recommend this internship to anyone interested in marketing or gaining experience at a law firm. One of the things I value most about this opportunity is that it’s in-person. Coming off a college experience and prior internships heavily influenced by COVID-19, being in an office environment has been a game-changer. In the seven months I’ve been here, I’ve learned more than I did in almost four years of college. There’s something invaluable about working alongside people who have years of experience in the industry. It really teaches you to be a quick learner and to adapt to an office environment in a way that online work simply can’t replicate.

Overall, this has been a truly rewarding experience, and I’m grateful to be part of a firm that values both its employees and its interns so highly.
