“Customer service is everything to us”

Carly Clinton Davidoff:
My name is Carly Clinton Davidoff, and I’m an associate attorney in the Mortgage Finance Group at Adam Leitman Bailey PC. I first joined the firm in 2017 as a legal extern during my second year of law school. After that, I accepted a summer associate position, and upon graduation, I was offered a full-time position here at the firm.

In the Mortgage Finance Group, I represent lending banks in both purchase and refinance transactions. We handle closings across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, and upstate New York. A significant part of my role involves attending closings on behalf of the bank for cooperative properties, condominiums, and real property. I also serve as a liaison between the bank and the borrower, ensuring that the transaction progresses smoothly towards closing. This includes reviewing titles to make sure there are no liens or judgments against the property or borrower. After the closing, I prepare the file to be sent back to the lender.

In addition to my role in the Mortgage Finance Group, I’m heavily involved in the recruitment, interview, and hiring process for our legal externship program. Having gone through the program myself, I offer firsthand insight to students about what it’s like to work at Adam Leitman Bailey PC. I also mentor students during their time here, offering advice on finishing law school and preparing for the bar exam.

One of the things I love most about working at Adam Leitman Bailey PC is our senior mentorship program. Senior partners are always willing to help young attorneys throughout their careers. The firm has an open-door policy, and at any point, I can walk into anyone’s office to ask questions and receive constructive feedback.

One of my greatest accomplishments here was during my summer associate position when I helped research and write an article that was ultimately published in the New York Law Journal and in the firm’s quarterly newsletter. This was my first opportunity to work directly with our managing partner, Adam Leitman Bailey, and to showcase my abilities, which I believe played a role in my full-time offer post-law school.

What sets Adam Leitman Bailey PC apart from other firms is our focus on communication and high customer service. We go above and beyond for our clients—there’s never a “no.” We do everything we can to close transactions, even on short notice. I’ve done closings on Saturdays, and when an issue arises, we work diligently and quickly to resolve it and ensure a smooth transaction. Customer service is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s what makes us unique.

For anyone looking to join Adam Leitman Bailey PC, my advice is to let your personality shine during the interview process. We look for candidates who are not only skilled in the legal field but also have a strong desire to grow with us and become the best in their area of expertise. Candidates should understand that working here is more than just a job—it’s about becoming part of a family.
