“Customer feedback is the most important thing… we make sure to put that at the forefront to our clients…”
My name is William Pokarsky, and I’m currently a law clerk at Adam Leitman Bailey PC, specifically in the litigation department. My work primarily involves landlord-tenant cases and condo/co-op litigation. In terms of real estate law, it’s a mix of everything you can imagine—from defending landlords or tenants in housing court to representing condo associations or unit owners in Supreme Court cases. We also handle disputes involving cooperative shareholders and their boards or management companies.
One of the standout qualities of Adam Leitman Bailey PC is its exceptional customer service. We have a strict policy to respond to client inquiries within 24 hours, and often, it’s much sooner than that. I know all the attorneys working on these cases, and I’ve seen firsthand how we prioritize communication. We provide regular updates to clients, whether they want them daily, weekly, or somewhere in between. The goal is to ensure clients are always informed and comfortable, with a clear understanding of what’s happening in their case.
The firm’s culture is one of transparency and openness. If we have a question about a case, whether it’s related to legal procedures or strategy, we’re encouraged to walk into any attorney’s office, from junior associates to senior partners. This open-door policy has been invaluable in helping me grow as a legal professional, and it’s something I continue to appreciate.
What makes this firm unique is its ability to handle a wide range of complex cases despite being a smaller firm with around 20 attorneys. We manage a high volume of significant cases, many of which have been influential in New York real estate law over the years. The firm’s size allows for a more individualized approach, with all attorneys contributing to the cases they work on. The combination of diverse perspectives and hands-on involvement ensures that every aspect of a case is thoroughly addressed, and nothing ever falls through the cracks.
Another unique feature of Adam Leitman Bailey PC is its hands-on approach to client care. We make sure to address every client’s specific needs, which sets us apart from other firms that may take a more detached approach to litigation. Clients here are always comfortable and well-informed, knowing that we are fully dedicated to achieving their goals.
On a day-to-day basis, I’m involved in everything from drafting legal documents and strategizing with attorneys to conducting legal research. When new cases come in, I get up to speed quickly, learning the client’s goals and helping the firm advocate for them in the best possible way. My time here has allowed me to sharpen my litigation skills and improve my ability to draft legal documents while keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront.
From day one, it was clear to me that Adam Leitman Bailey PC is a very collaborative firm. When a new case comes in, it’s assigned to a partner, but it doesn’t stop there—junior associates, law clerks like me, and even externs have a role in contributing to the case. Every team member has a say, and their input is valued, regardless of seniority. This collaborative environment fosters a culture where everyone can offer unique perspectives and contribute to the best possible outcome for the client.
The firm’s responsiveness to client needs and its focus on delivering a highly attentive and personalized experience is something that sets us apart from other firms. We ensure that every question, every inquiry, and every goal is addressed promptly and thoroughly.
