“It Is Such a Welcoming Place.” – Siddra and Montse, Paralegals
My name is Cedra, and I’m a paralegal here at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I work in the Supreme Court Department, but I’ve also had experience in the transactional and banking departments. Currently, my role involves working closely with Siddra and the attorneys in the Supreme Court Department.
A lot of our job is supporting attorneys in any way they need, from administrative tasks to drafting and filing legal documents, preparing correspondences, calendaring court appearances, and helping attorneys get ready for trials or other court matters. We compile documents, file cases through both paper systems and complex e-filing systems, and stay on top of casework for each attorney we assist. While we work with all attorneys in the department, every attorney has their own specific cases, so there’s always something unique going on.
This is my first job out of college, and it’s been a great opportunity to learn and grow in a smaller, more intimate environment. At a larger firm, you might not get to work so closely with attorneys, but here I’ve been trained in almost every department. If someone needs assistance and a department is short-staffed, I’m always ready to step in, which has allowed me to learn a variety of skills and gain more experience than I would have in a more rigid setting.
The firm’s size and culture make it special. In a larger firm, it’s easy to feel lost, especially in a paralegal position, but here, everyone knows each other personally. Adam knows every staff member, and we work closely with all attorneys—associates, partners, and even Adam himself when needed. It’s a close-knit, supportive environment where everyone feels like equals.
What I love most about working here is the youthful and collaborative atmosphere. We’re a younger team, which brings a freshness and energy to the professional environment. The firm also prioritizes employee happiness with great benefits, social events, and opportunities to bond as a team—whether it’s manicures, massages, or happy hours. It’s been such a rewarding experience, especially for a first job after college.
I’ve learned so much here—more than I ever expected—and it’s been a welcoming and supportive place to start my career. You feel needed, valued, and part of a team, which makes all the difference. The hands-on experience and the opportunity to work with every aspect of paralegal work have been incredible.
