Testimonials

“Adam is a very friendly and open person. […] He has been very supportive.”

Chabelia: My name is Chabelia Jorge, and I’m 18 years old. I’m currently a senior at Millennium High School, and in the fall, I’ll be attending Columbia University.

Ashley: My name is Ashley Brito, and I’m 17 years old. I’m also a senior at Millennium High School, and in the fall, I’ll be attending Florida University.

Chabelia (Explaining Daily Routine): I don’t work in one specific department or with one attorney. I assist in landlord and tenant matters and work within Supreme Court with Collins. My tasks include filing for trials—creating binders with exhibits, scanning documents for future reference in ETOs, mailing letters to clients, and sometimes running errands like going to the bank for checks or the post office. I help wherever the attorneys or paralegals need assistance, from filing paperwork to other miscellaneous tasks.

Ashley (Explaining Daily Routine): I work mostly in transactions, so I do a lot of filing, particularly with new CCS forms and paperwork. I scan and copy a lot of closing disclosures and often run errands like going to the bank and post office for various tasks that are essential to closing deals.

Chabelia & Ashley (About Their Role): Without our help, things wouldn’t run as smoothly. We’re like the connectors—handling the logistics and ensuring that everything from closing materials to client communications happens. We support the attorneys and paralegals by handling tasks that keep the workflow organized and efficient.

Chabelia (Skills Gained): I’ve developed strong communication skills working here, especially in a professional setting. I’ve learned to communicate confidently with people older than me, including paralegals and attorneys. I’ve gained administrative skills such as filing, scanning, writing professional emails, and managing errands like mailing or handling bank transactions. This job has taught me the importance of professionalism and organization, as well as how to be proactive and take initiative.

Ashley (Skills Gained): I’ve gained a lot of administrative and organizational skills, like scanning, filing, and keeping track of different types of paperwork. I’ve learned to be more independent and take initiative in completing tasks without constant reminders. The experience has taught me how to stay organized and maintain professional communication, which are all skills I didn’t necessarily learn in school.

Chabelia & Ashley (Working with Adam): Both of us had the opportunity to meet Adam. I (Chabelia) went to lunch with him, Kelly, and Carly in January. It was a great chance to connect. Adam was very supportive and offered advice on college and work. He emphasized the importance of asking questions and gaining as much experience as possible. I (Ashley) haven’t worked directly with Adam, but when he checked in with me, I was surprised by how friendly and approachable he is. I felt comfortable asking him questions and appreciated his openness and support.

Chabelia (Career Takeaways): Working here has made me more certain about my future career path. Initially, I thought law would involve a lot of math, but I’ve learned there’s much more to it. The real estate aspects of the firm piqued my interest, and now I’m considering pursuing a career in real estate law, even though I’ve always known I wanted to be an attorney. This experience has helped me realize I enjoy working in an office setting and dealing with paperwork more than I initially expected.

Ashley (Career Takeaways): Like Chabelia, I’ve known I wanted to be an attorney, but working here has given me more direction. I’m still figuring out what field to focus on, but I’ve developed a particular interest in real estate law, and I plan to major in Political Science in college. My time here has solidified my decision to pursue law, even if I don’t end up focusing on real estate.

Final Thoughts (Chabelia): My final note is that Adam Leitman Bailey is such a friendly and welcoming environment. Initially, I was intimidated by the lawyers here, but everyone has been so kind and approachable. I genuinely look forward to coming to work every day because it’s a place where I feel comfortable, and I think that’s a rare and important quality in a workplace.

Final Thoughts (Ashley): I agree. It’s refreshing to work somewhere where everyone is friendly and you’re excited to go to work. The people here are open, welcoming, and supportive, and I think that makes all the difference. It’s an environment I would love to work in long-term.
