Ellen:
“I’m originally from China, and I’m working as a marketing intern here this summer at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.”
Interviewer:
“Where do you study?”
Ellen:
“I’m studying at New York University, in the SCP’s master’s program.”
Interviewer:
“And what are your career goals?”
Ellen:
“Career-wise, I am planning on becoming an expert in marketing. In a few years, I hope to become the head or mentor of a marketing department.”
Interviewer:
“Did you get the experience you wanted out of this internship?”
Ellen:
“Yeah, definitely. I learned about SEO, content migration, and also worked on building a new website.”
Interviewer:
“What was your role at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.?”
Ellen:
“We worked on a team of six marketing interns to build the new website and migrate content from the old website to the new one.”
Interviewer:
“What kind of tasks did you perform here? Can you tell me more specifically about your day-to-day responsibilities?”
Ellen:
“My main task was content migration on the website. I also worked on social media, like uploading videos to YouTube.”
Interviewer:
“How did the firm help you prepare for these tasks? Did you receive any training?”
Ellen:
“Yes, our supervisor Nicole trained us on a daily basis. We also received training on SEO to help with the migration and other tasks.”
Interviewer:
“What did you learn from this experience?”
Ellen:
“I learned a lot about SEO, how to make a website show up first when clients search for a keyword, and how to manage a YouTube account.”
Interviewer:
“How would you describe your experience at Adam Leitman Bailey?”
Ellen:
“I really enjoyed it here. Everyone is very nice, and I feel very calm, like a member of the team. I really like it.”
Interviewer:
“Can you tell us about the tasks you enjoyed the most?”
Ellen:
“I really enjoyed working on the new website. It’s exciting knowing that everything we do will be visible to the world. Clients will visit the site, and I can tell them I made a contribution.”
Interviewer:
“What skills do you think you learned at Adam Leitman Bailey that will be helpful in the future?”
Ellen:
“Definitely content migration. I think working on this project gave me a good skill set for the future.”
Interviewer:
“How do you think this internship will help you further your career? You mentioned you’re getting a master’s at NYU. What is your master’s in?”
Ellen:
“My master’s is in Integrated Marketing. It focuses on digital marketing, so this experience aligns perfectly with my career goals.”

“Do you have any comments for future interns or about working here in general?”
Ellen:
“I think this is a great place for interns to get hands-on experience. Nicole is amazing—she teaches you a lot and is very patient.”
