April 30, 2014 – Brooklyn Community Housing and Services(BCHS) proudly honors Christopher Halligan,Esq.for providing expert legal services to BCHS; and for always demostrating thoughtfulness and compassion when handling sensitive matters for BCHS and its formerly homeless tenants.

BCHS is committed to ending homelessness in Brooklyn. Each year, they provide safe and clean supportive housing for more than 1,000 formerly homeless women, children and men. They help them learn how to live productively and independently, with dignity and hope.

Christopher Halliigan, Esq. has practiced residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation and general real estate law for almost 20 years. During this time Mr. Halligan has appeared in thousands of court proceedings, including hundreds of trials and summary proceedings.
Mr. Halligan is widely known for his adroit courtroom manner and creative and pragmatic approach to complicated cases. His legal victories have been cited in numerous law journals and publications, and he has represented a diverse range of clients, from corporations and small business owners to rent stabilized tenants who are the victims of harassment, families, and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Halligan works for Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C., considered one of the premier real estate law firms in New York City. The firm’s innovative strategies and notable victories have been profiled in both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, and the firm engages in a range of highly regarded pro bono philanthropic efforts as well. Prior to this Mr. Halligan was partner in a prominent landlord-tenant firm in New York. Before joining the firm, Mr. Halligan worked as a litigation attorney for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
