“My favorite day here was definitely the second time I went to court…it is a lot of fun, I definitely had a great time this summer – everyone is really nice and really inviting…it is good firm culture and the work is really interesting” – Ashley, High School Intern
Ashley: Hi, I’m Ashley, and I am an intern here at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.
Interviewer: Can you describe a typical day as an intern?
Ashley: A typical day for me involves a lot of different tasks. I handle a lot of mail, helping the paralegals sort and send it out to the attorneys. This summer, we’ve also been organizing the storage rooms, making everything neat and accessible. I assist wherever I’m needed around the office—sometimes that involves going on bank runs or helping with other errands.
I’ve also had the chance to go to court, which has been a highlight for me. While I’m there, I get to observe the attorneys in action, which is always fascinating. Occasionally, I assist by bringing in documents and organizing things during the proceedings.
Interviewer: What has been your impression of the firm’s culture?
Ashley: The firm is really close-knit—much closer than I expected a law firm to be. Everyone here is incredibly nice and welcoming. I remember feeling really nervous on my first day, but my coworkers made me feel at ease right away. It’s such a positive and supportive environment, like a tight-knit family.
Interviewer: What’s been your favorite experience so far?
Ashley: One of my favorite experiences was my second time going to court. The first time, I was mostly helping with documents and logistics, which was exciting but a bit chaotic. The second time, I got to watch an oral argument. Seeing the lawyers negotiate with opposing counsel and present their points to the judge was incredibly interesting. It gave me a real sneak peek into what a career in law might look like and made me even more excited about pursuing it.
Interviewer: How would you describe working with Adam?
Ashley: Adam is incredibly passionate about his work, and it’s inspiring to see. His enthusiasm for real estate law motivates everyone around him. He encourages us to stay busy and proactive, always finding ways to contribute. You can tell he loves what he does, and it creates a really productive and engaging atmosphere in the office.
Interviewer: What advice would you give to someone considering an internship at ALB?
Ashley: I would definitely say go for it! It’s a lot of fun, and I’ve had a great experience this summer. Everyone here is welcoming, and they don’t throw you in the deep end. During my first few weeks, I spent a lot of time observing and learning from the paralegals and assistants. They eased me into projects and made sure I was comfortable.
The firm culture is fantastic—everyone is understanding and supportive. The work itself is interesting, whether you’re reading cases or going to court. If you’re interested in law or considering an internship, Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. is a great place to start.
