Andrew D. Cassady is an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation department, concentrating in landlord-tenant litigation with a particular focus on matters concerning rent regulation.
Mr. Cassady represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters, including residential and commercial summary eviction proceedings, rent overcharge disputes, non-primary residence and succession matters, Loft Law coverage and protected occupancy applications, and Yellowstone Injunction proceedings. Mr. Cassady has appeared before the New York City Civil Court, the New York State Supreme Court, the Appellate Term, the Appellate Division and the New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.
Mr. Cassady is a graduate of Pace Law School. While attending Pace Law School, Mr. Cassady twice competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria and served as a Dean’s Scholar for first-year Civil Procedure courses.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cassady obtained a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from the University of North Texas..
Mr. Cassady has been named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Cassady is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
