Tribute to Christopher Halligan (1965-2020)
Christopher Halligan was an important and well respected member of the firm. A trial lawyer who was happiest in the courtroom or in front of a jury presenting our clients’ cases. During his career, he presided over thousands of cases in the Housing Courts of New York. Dedicated to the firm’s clients and a friend to all, including the members of the firm, we will miss him greatly.
Below was his biography on the day he left us far too young:
Christopher Halligan, Esq. has practiced residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation for almost 30 years. During this time Mr. Halligan has appeared in thousands of court proceedings, including hundreds of trials and summary proceedings.
Prior to joining Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C., Mr. Halligan represented property owners and management companies in landlord-tenant and real estate litigation disputes as a partner in one of the most prominent landlord-tenant firms in New York. Before joining the firm, Christopher Halligan worked as a litigation attorney for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
