“This will also be my final year receiving the Raymond Hap Harrison scholarship, and I remain so grateful for your support in helping me reach this point and finish medical school strong.” – Stefany Lazieh

“I hope you’re doing well! It’s been a little while since I last checked in, and I wanted to share an update on where life and medical school have taken me.

After finishing my third year of medical school last year, I decided to take dedicated research time with the Department of Otolaryngology at Hopkins. I was fortunate to receive grants through both the School of Medicine and the Department of Otolaryngology to work with one of the sinus and skull base surgeons. Over the past year, I’ve been involved in projects focusing on ENT-related diseases and environmental exposures, and I’m excited to share that I’ll be applying into otolaryngology residency later this year.

I’m just now returning to clinical rotations at Hopkins and will be doing a month-long visiting sub-internship at Cornell/Columbia this September. I’m really looking forward to being closer to home and working in NYC again! I’ll be sure to keep you posted as the application cycle unfolds — applying into otolaryngology will be a challenging but exciting process.

This will also be my final year receiving the Raymond Hap Harrison scholarship, and I remain so grateful for your support in helping me reach this point and finish medical school strong.

Would also love to hear how you and the firm have been doing lately. Hope all is well on your end, and if you have time this fall, it would be great to catch up when I’m back in the city!

Best,

Stefany Lazieh”
