“Everyone here looks out for everyone. There’s no real hierarchy. It’s very much everyone in a community … and I have had the lovely experience of getting to work with the most impressive attorneys in all of New York” – Leah Markbreiter, Managing Paralegal
My name is Leam Markbriter, and I’m a paralegal here at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I recently became the Managing Paralegal. When I come into the office each morning, my first priority is responding to the attorneys. They email me with tasks they need assistance with, such as filing documents, printing court materials and organizing them into binders, serving documents, and occasionally delivering materials to court. I also assist with discovery production and various other responsibilities.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working at this firm. It’s my first job right out of college, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy spending time with both my peers and the more experienced senior attorneys. I plan to attend law school in the future, and this experience has been incredibly valuable for me. I’ve learned so much from the attorneys, as well as from working in a legal and professional environment.
The office environment is warm and welcoming. Everyone here looks out for one another, and there’s no rigid hierarchy. It feels like a true community, where everyone is friendly and willing to help in any way they can. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most impressive attorneys in New York.
Adam is a very unique and inspiring boss. He genuinely cares about everyone at the firm, knowing each employee by name and taking an interest in their personal goals and interests. He goes out of his way to help us achieve those goals, which is something rare in a leader. Adam is always striving to improve the firm and enhance the experience for his employees, and it shows in the way he manages.
One thing I’ve noticed at ALBPC is how everyone is encouraged to be themselves. We all bring our unique personality traits, interests, and goals to the table, and they blend together seamlessly. That individuality is respected and supported, which allows us to be the best we can be—whether as attorneys, paralegals, or other team members. For me, knowing I want to go to law school, I feel confident that my time here is preparing me well for the next chapter of my career.
I would highly recommend working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Coming into this role as my first job out of college, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I have. While being a paralegal or holding any staff-level position can sometimes feel tedious or monotonous, the atmosphere here keeps things exciting. Every day is different, and the culture of success and collaboration is truly motivating.
For anyone straight out of college or even further into their career, this is an environment where you can learn, grow, and feel genuinely supported.
