One Holdout Tenant Stalls $70 million Condo Development in New York City’s Trendy Upper West Side

One tenant is blocking a luxury condo development worth $70 million in New York City’s Upper West Side.
Nejat Ozsu said that he and the dog have no place else to go.
Adam Leitman Bailey Bailey, his lawyer, said that the landlord of the building is using them. “bullying tactics” to force him out, including running an industrial air fan outside his apartment.
“The only purpose is to make noise to bother him,” the attorney told Inside Edition.Ozsu’s one-bedroom penthouse apartment has a deck with a wonderful view and rents for $3,350 per month, which is relative cheap for the neighborhood.
He was offered $30,000 by the owners to get rid of them.
“That sounds like a pretty generous offer,”Inside Edition’s Les Trent explained to the tenant, and his attorney.

Inside Edition was told by the landlord that the tenant is illegally occupying his property and that he is seeking a large payment.
