“There Is No Hierarchy at This Firm. Everyone Treats Each Other Equally.” – Layla, Paralegal
I am a paralegal for the litigation department here at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. and I am heading to Brooklyn Law School this September 2018.
Prior to getting hired at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I knew I wanted to attend law school. The attorneys at this firm only reinforced my decision to go to law school two years after being hired.
The hard work and commitment that the attorneys have at this firm really made me look at the law field through different eyes. They always were very dedicated and passionate as to what they were doing. Also besides the career aspect of working at this firm, they were also very personable and really tried to get to know me as a person and were always attentive as to how I was doing. It only made me want to be like that moving forward and influence others.
Because of the legal terminology that I have learned here. I know that a lot of law school is reading and learning in the classroom along with clinical and externships, but going into law school with the foundation and knowing what it is to have a motion dismissed and just basic things will make my experience in law school during my 1 year a lot more smoother. The transition, I don’t think, will be as harsh as it would be had I not been working as a paralegal for the past two years.
What makes Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. unique are the individuals that work at this firm. Their dedication, their passion for every case they’re assigned. They are very committed individuals to their work and as attorneys, they always strive to be the best that they can be. Beyond that, they are also very caring individuals. They always look out for the staff. There is no hierarchy at this firm, everyone treats each other equally. Also, the family knit that you create at this firm, you become very close, well from my experience I became very close with certain individuals and I feel very comfortable being around everyone at this firm.
The biggest lesson I have learned at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. is that things don’t always go as planned. Prior to being hired as a paralegal, I was very committed to going to law school right after college. Things did not work out that way, but with the opportunities that were presented to me during my time off and job hunting and then getting hired at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I realized that I have grown so much, and matured. Now I can go into law school with a different mindset, a different perspective, and different skills that have only been reinforced throughout my time at this firm.
The biggest of advice I would give to anyone joining the firm, or even at the firm, would be to really enjoy every minute that you spend with the people around you because time just flies. These past two years have gone by so fast and within the blink of an eye here I am ending my time at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.. I vividly remember my first day at this firm and training and it just feels so unreal that I am saying goodbye to the Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. family.
