“They Want You to Develop and Become a Major Part of Their Team” – Laurie, CFO
My name is Laurie Muldowr, and I’m the CFO of Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I’ve been with the firm for seven years, and during that time, I’ve also served as the CEO and CFO. My career began at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson when I was in high school, and since then, I’ve worked in finance and law firms for nearly 20 years.
What I enjoy most about working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. is the energy here. The firm has a unique atmosphere—it’s fun, lively, and collaborative. Everyone is always smiling, and the cases our attorneys work on are not just about paperwork; they genuinely affect people’s lives. Walking through the hallways, you can hear about exciting and meaningful cases, which keeps the work dynamic and engaging.
This firm offers incredible opportunities for professional growth. Over the last seven years, I’ve learned so much—from managing a rapidly growing company to gaining deeper insights into real estate and finance. It’s been an enriching journey, both professionally and personally.
Some of my proudest accomplishments include witnessing the remarkable growth of a law firm built by one person into what it is today. Seeing this firm take on incredible cases and transactions across the city, and knowing that everyone here contributes to that success, is deeply rewarding.
What sets Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. apart is the way we value our team. The firm doesn’t require a degree from a top-tier law school to recognize talent. Instead, we focus on hiring attorneys with street smarts, savviness, and a passion for the law. This emphasis creates a unique environment where diverse perspectives thrive.
Another standout quality is the firm’s commitment to diversity and respect. As a female professional, I’ve worked in many corporate environments, and I can confidently say that this firm treats everyone equally, from compensation to opportunity. Diversity here goes beyond gender—it extends to race, religion, sexual orientation, and even political beliefs. It’s rare to find a workplace where differing opinions are respected and encouraged.
My journey at the firm is also a testament to its merit-based approach. I didn’t start as the CFO—I was brought in for collections. But through hard work and the opportunity to learn on the job, I was quickly promoted. This recognition of effort and potential is something you don’t always find at larger firms.
For attorneys and paralegals considering joining the firm, my advice is simple: Do it. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to grow further, this is an amazing place to work. Attorneys here don’t just get stuck in the grind—they are given meaningful responsibilities and the chance to learn from seasoned professionals. Paralegals are also deeply valued and have opportunities to expand their knowledge and take on significant roles within teams.
Unlike many firms where turnover is high, Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. fosters loyalty. People stay here because they love the work, the culture, and the sense of belonging. The cases we take on are always interesting—sometimes they’re groundbreaking, like using an old law to help buyers during the market crash, and other times they involve exciting day-to-day detective work.
At the end of the day, this firm offers an unparalleled environment to grow, learn, and make a real impact. It’s a place where careers flourish, friendships are built, and everyone contributes to a larger purpose.
