Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Successfully Defends Landlord Against Significant Mold and Asbestos Claims
Days after receiving an eviction notice from the landlord, the tenant sued the landlord in housing court alleging thirteen violations of the Administrative Code of the city of New York, including exposed asbestos, harassment, failure to provide mailboxes, and significant mold infestation.
The attorneys at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C., representing the landlord, were able to convince the court to quickly dismiss twelve of the thirteen allegations, with mold becoming the only remaining issue. The mold claim was then settled with the landlord paying nothing to the tenant and having over a month to remediate the mold.
