“I was able to continue our dream of opening another restaurant.” -D.A.
Dino Andreakos, Entrepreneur and owner of Crave Ceviche restaurant struck by crane on March 15, 2008
Could you briefly explain the situation/problem that led you to seek legal help? You can be as general or specific as you are comfortable with.
We had the unfortunate incident of a crane hitting our restaurant on March 15th of last year in 2008. We were in desperate need of finding a quality attorney who would help us to stop our landlord from evicting us and terminating our lease.
Did you have to go to court?
We did not. We went to court but the day of the trial, Adam was able to settle the case and avoid us going through a full trial.
How did the settlement negotiations go?
They were pretty intense. The landlord that was…that we were opposing was a very experienced landlord who owned many many properties in the city and Adam and Colin did a great job and we were able to settle for a very decent amount. I was able to continue our dream of opening another restaurant.
How did you meet the firm?
It was through a referral. But we definitely visited many attorneys. We visited, I believe over 20 attorneys in a two week span and Adam was the one we decided to go with.
What were your first impressions?
Adam is very energetic, very eager. He brings a lot of energy to the room and that was definitely one of the things that drew us to him.
In general, what did Adam Leitman Bailey, PC do for you?
They were able…they gave us the ability to avoid losing a tremendous amount of money. We had just opened up our restaurant and invested a significant sum of money and we were on the verge of losing it all. He was able to recoup that and then some which like I said gave us the opportunity to pursue another place.
Before we finish, are there any last comments you would like to add?
No. I mean…I think I built a great relationship here as well as some new friends in this firm and I am looking forward to doing business in the future with some other endeavors.
