The attorneys who made the list were nominated by their peers and were selected based on peer recognition and professional accomplishments including verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors, awards, and a blue ribbon panel review and independent research.

Fewer than fifteen percent of law firms nationwide receive a U.S. News ranking. The U.S. News and World Report “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.
